Deep within the roots of fate
I'm trapped with knowledge
Knowledge I want to hate
But beg for instead

A soul of ice, a soul of fire
Melting and swirling like water
But never joined, just teased
Look, but don't touch

Dormant within me is a life
A life I once had, but cannot have
One I see that could have been
But is not to be

There is a special pain in my heart
One very few people know
It pulses and echoes someone
Someone who has touched my soul

While I've been spinning around
He's been calmly adjusted
I seek anything to numb the pain
Even if it means to lie
